Aesthetics

Brick, steel, plants

With brick and steel being the prevailing materials in this historic dockyard, the designers wanted to introduce some natural touches to contradict the harsher surfaces.  The building itself is listed so there were restrictions to what we could do.  The solution was to build a free-standing living wall that hides parts of the historic wall that are more run-down or covered in unattractive pipework, without affecting the original structure.

Planters

Dotted around the space are corten steel planters and wood seating areas, all bursting with plants such as lavender, rosemary and many more.

This front area of the venue has now been re-opened and will specialise in food events (especially in the Summer!).
