The importance of biophilia in the city
We often speak of biophilia in relation to interior design, but what about the outdoors? If biophilia describes our innate connection with nature, shouldn’t we be keeping this in mind when we design in our urban spaces?
Whilst too many children are brought up in places where they are more than a 15 minutes’ walk from a green space, so many already-developed areas where we need nature the most simply don’t have the room. In this episode we discuss why nature is so important for us and especially children, how greenery can add value in business terms and where we’re missing the potential in the city.
