Designing living walls around windows.

Shapes & Sizes

Living walls can be successfully installed (either onto or into the facade) around windows of most shapes and sizes. As the Viritopia Living Wall System is a modular system, we can cut modules to fit, which allows us to work with more irregular shapes.

Irrigation

If we are involved in the early stages of a project, we can ensure there is a 75mm gap around the window for the irrigation to run. This ensures that the finished result is a lot more streamlined.

Gutter & Trim

A gutter above the window is required to stop any water running down onto window. This means there is also always a downpipe for each gutter on each window.

We recommend having a trim around each window to hide the build-up details and create a nice finish.
